The National Motor Vehicle Crash Causation Survey (NMVCCS) collected on-scene information about the events and factors leading up to vehicle crashes involving light vehicles, between July 3, 2005, to December 31, 2007. Crashes were investigated at the crash scene and driver, vehicle, and environment-related information pertaining to crash occurrence was collected.
